1Phase 200VAC
0.2 - 5.5 KW
3 Phase 400VAC | 0.4 to 560 kW
Advantages:
- Free selection of the network pressure:The network pressure can be adjusted between 5 and 13 bar
- Constant network pressure: Independent of the air demand the network pressure can be kept constant through
- the speed variation In this way the maximum pressure can be reduced and energy can be saved
Example: A reduction of the maximum pressure of about 1 bar gives energy reductions
of about 6-8 % in relation of the total power consumption of the compressor
- Energy Saving By Drawin drives - Energy savings are achieved through:
Avoiding unload operation and resultant energy wastage
- Constant near unity power factor resulting in lesser peak kva demand
- Optimum efficiency of motor operation resulting in energy saving
- No starting and Delta/Start switch over currents resulting in lesser stress on
electrical system
- Exact delivery volume resulting in smooth operation as required
- Free selection of the network pressure resulting in flexibility
- Constant network pressure resulting in system efficiency
Introduction
The Matrix 190 is a world-class compact current vector drive & Torque Mode that defines a new world standard. Its easy to use and Install work in all Open loop application.
A standard Variable Frequency Drive puts out a Pulse Width Modulation pattern made to sustain a constant V/Hz pattern to the motor under perfect conditions. The reaction of motor to that PWM pattern is highly dependent upon the conditions of load. The variable frequency drive only convey the motor what to do and also don’t do true torque control as it has no way to know what the motor output torque will be.
These problems linked with the scalar VFDs incapability to change its output with the load changes gets worse as the reference of speed goes down, so the thumb rule to determine the need for which technology to utilize is that scalar drives function good at speed ranges between 5:1 or 6:1. So if your application needed precise control under 10Hz, scalar VFD might not suitable for you.
Here you need Darwin Motion -Matrix 190 vector drive that utilizes feedback of several real world details to further change the PWM pattern for maintaining more accurate control of the required working parameter, whether it is speed or torque. Using a highly powerful and quicker microprocessor, it utilizes the feedback details for calculating the precise voltage and frequency of vector to get the goal.
The term vector refers to the rotating space vector describing the flux in the motor. As flux and current are in phase, it even defines the stator current.

Types of Vector Drive
- Closed Loop Vector Drive that utilizes a shaft encoder on the motor to offer positive shaft position indicating back to the microprocessor.
- Sensor-less Vector Drive also called Open Loop is essentially a misnomer as it is a closed loop system, however, the feedback loop comes from inside the Variable Frequency Drive itself rather than an external encoder.
- Speed and Torque ControlDC motor are somewhat similar to an induction motor that needs a magnetizing and a torque producing current. These two currents in a DC motor are fed to two distinctive windings such as the field winding and the armature winding while in an induction motor only one set of winding is required i.e. the stator winding. Hence the vector drive has two distinctive components some other way.
- Vector drives are considered as the most composite standard devices that exist. However, there are two control loops always available one to magnetize current and one to control speed/torque.
